Water Tips!

While brushing your teeth or shaving, don't leave the water running!  It goes straight down the drain and wastes a lot of water.  Don't let the faucet run when you scrub vegetables or prep other foods - put a stopper in the sink instead.

Discounted Rates

The Oak Bluffs Water District gives a 50% discount to those customers who qualify for a tax abatement under M.G.L. 59, sec. 5, cl. 22.

There is a 20% discount for veterans who qualify for a tax abatement under M.G.L. 59, sec. 5, cl. 22.

The Oak Bluffs Water Commissioners have voted to issue water bills on a semi-annual basis. The water bills will be issued in July and January.

The semi-annual rates are effective July 1, 2010.

Residential Rate

Base Charge includes 30,000 gallons               $200.00 (7/1/10 - 12/31/10)

31,000 – 50,000 gallons                                  $1.70 per 1,000 gallons

Over 50,000 gallons                                        $2.27 per 1,000 gallons

 

Commercial Rate

Base Charge includes 30,000 gallons                $200.00 (7/1/10 - 12/31/10)

31,000 – 50,000 gallons                                   $1.70 per 1,000 gallons

Over 50,000 gallons                                         $2.27 per 1,000 gallons

 

Veteran Rate (Must qualify for tax abatement under M.G.L. 59. Sec. 5, cl 22.)

Base Charge includes 30,000 gallons                  $160.00 (7/1/10 - 12/31/10)

31,000 – 50,000 gallons                                     $1.70 per 1,000 gallons

Over 50,000 gallons                                           $2.27 per 1,000 gallons

 

Life Line Rate (Must qualify for tax abatement under M.G.L. 59, sec. 41C)

Base Charge includes 30,000 gallons                   $100.00 (7/1/10 - 12/31/10)

31,000 – 50,000 gallons                                      $1.70 per 1,000 gallons

Over 50,000 gallons                                            $2.27 per 1,000 gallons
