Welcome to the Oak Bluffs Water District. We are a public service organization and our goal is to provide you with the highest level of service as well as the best quality water possible. Our employees strive to meet a high standard of service to our customers. We welcome your input and suggestions for how to serve you.
The Oak Bluffs Water District is a non-profit, locally controlled public water system. The District was created by Massachusetts legislature in 1991 to operate as a self-supporting unit of local government. Rates are set by the Water Commissioners to cover the cost of delivering a product which meets federal and state guidelines under the Safe Drinking Water Act. Policy is also set by the Water District Commissioners. Public meetings are held twice each month usually the first and third Wednesday at 4:30pm at the Water District's Office. This is located at 96 Vineyard Ave, Oak Bluffs, customers are encourage to attend but must call 48 hours in advance to be on the agenda.
